Kernel version is default or desktop?
As the name suggests, the kernel-desktop has been optimized for the typical desktop user of openSUSE. If you are setting up a server, you most likely would go with kernel-default. What are you using your computer for?

Thank You,

See this is your first post. Welcome.

Your question is a bit pointless. It is about the same as “Apple is green or read?” Where? What? How? Why?

I bit of background information why you are asking this might help others help you.

It depends.

If you have a 32bit system and a lot of memory, the default kernel might not be able to see all of the memory.
