Kernel repository and updater applet

I’m not sure if this is the right forum for this post, so please correct me if I’m wrong.

I’m running openSUSE 11.2, but have changed my kernel to use the Kernel-repo from obs, and x server from XOrg-repo to get KMS for my Ati Radeon HD 4670

Now, the problem is that the updater-applet (kde) is reporting a patch for my kernel (Linux kernel: security and bugfix update - new version 2146). The updater doesn’t seem to do anything when I try to install this update, and I don’t get any errors. But as soon as it’s done, it tells me that it still needs to add this patch. (I’ve tried to do this trough the yast updater as well, and get the same result.)

I believe that this is because the updater applet is trying to patch the oss-repo kernel version, but can’t find it. What can i do to get rid of this problem?

paste here output of this command:

zypper -v dup

Not sure if this is any help, but here go:
(I don’t want to downgrade/change vendor on all those packages, so i pressed N in the end  )

Maybe do update a then refresh updater applet solves your problem:

zypper up

This will not downgrade any packages.
