kernel newbe question about modules

i m a little confused. this site:
Intel Linux Graphics: 2010Q3
mentiones a 2d driver:

2D driver: xf86-video-intel 2.13.0 release

is this driver allready included in the newest kernel or do i have to build it?

As far as I can tell, the core graphics driver was added to kernel 2.6.35.5 and will exist in that version and newer. The latest stable kernel is now at version 2.6.36.2 and kernel 2.6.37 will be released within a month and is also the Core kernel for openSUSE 11.4 when it comes out next year. All of the other files are part of the many files which are loaded or can be loaded into Linux such as mesa. openSUSE 11.3 is based on kernel 2.6.34 and would require an update to work, but kernel updates can be made to openSUSE 11.3 as I am using 2.6.37-rc7 for instance.
