kernel module "nouveau" on LAMP server causing error messages after reboot

> uname -a
Linux kriyayoga2 2.6.34.10-0.2-default #1 SMP 2011-07-20 18:48:56 +0200 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

after years of peaceful operationi of my 3 LAMP opensuse 11.3 fully updated
all opensuse default SW

after a reboot - boot up OK,
but when monitoring error messages

tail -f /var/log/messages

showing me quantities of errors (multipel per sexond) for a many minutes

Nov 5 17:22:25 kernel: 511.809600] [drm] nouveau 0000:02:00.0: PFIFO_INTR 0x00000010 - Ch 1

> lsmod | grep nouveau
nouveau 552096 0
ttm 64561 1 nouveau
drm_kms_helper 32944 1 nouveau
drm 221484 3 nouveau,ttm,drm_kms_helper
i2c_algo_bit 6824 1 nouveau
button 6925 1 nouveau

then much later that error message stopped to appear

if I am properly informed, the module

is used for Nvidia ?
on LAMP we have no graphics hence no Nvidia - or am I wrong ?
only the shell and standard console working in bash
I have a simple plain LAMP - no games and stuff

If I can safely NOT load (exclude from load) the nouveau.ko module at boot time and keep it OUR of kernel
if YES
how please and where is such configuration

Any help most welcome

You can stop the nouveau driver from loading by adding to your 50-blacklist.conf file. The following command can be used to add the command to the bottom of this file.

su -
password:
echo "blacklist nouveau" >> /etc/modprobe.d/50-blacklist.conf

Restart the PC and see if it works OK.

Thank You,

something has to send the video bits to your console…i mean, even a
VAX in '80 had some kind of video driver just to make those orange
screens wink at’cha…
