kernel in a nutshell

I don’t know how many people noticed it, but there’s a package named:

| linux-kernel-nutshell | Linux Kernel In A Nutshell Book | package

if you do a search on kernel or nutshell in zypper. This is the free Kernel in a Nutshell book described here:

Linux Kernel in a Nutshell
Linux Kernel in a Nutshell | O’Reilly Media

The catalog description is:

Linux Kernel in a Nutshell covers the entire range of kernel tasks, starting with downloading the source and making sure that the kernel is in sync with the versions of the tools you need. In addition to configuration and installation steps, the book offers reference material and discussions of related topics such as control of kernel options at runtime.

So if you are looking to roll your own or tweak the kernel, this is the package for you.

I ought to mail you a hot dog for that one. Nice!

I’ll ftp a large coffee to go with it.
