after installing VMWare and trying to run it, it said that i needed gcc
3.x.x (cant remember exactly) (which i installed with Yast) and then it
asked for “kernel headers 2.6.25.18-0.2-pae”
i tried to search it with yast, but it didnt return any results, so i
searched for “Kernel Modules” and found this: “linux-kernel-headers” but
the check box on the left was already ticked, but i clicked it again and
then there was the green arrow pointing up, so i thought ‘must be an
upgrade then’
i installed the package twice with yast (didnt work after first time so
i tried again) but VMware still asks for the same “kernel headers
2.6.25.18-0.2-pae”

k thanks i installed it now.
but i still can’t start: now when i try to start VMware workstation, it
tells me this:
"Before you can run VMware Workstation, several modules must be
compiled and loaded into the running kernel.
i thought it had something to do with restarting so the kernel could
update, but after reboot it gave the same error.
Theres also an “install” button which i clicked, and then it asked for
my root PW, which i gave, but that doesn’t do anything :S

bump anyone please?
Hi
Just had a look on my SLED machine, the rpm installs the bundle down
in /var/cache. Now you have the files in place I would just re-install
the rpm with a --force option and see how that goes, the bundle should
run through the install routine.
