HELP GUYS,
i boot to suse net install cd, then select installation. after that, irt displays, decompressing linux … done then, boting to kernel and it hangs… nothing happens. i have quadcore and asus p5qlpro board and ati videocard… help me :_
Look at the lamplets of your keyboard. If they are flickering synchronously, you have caught a “Kernel Panic”. This is guaranteed a hang!
If you don’t see any lamplets flickering try to press capt-lock on and off and look at the caps-lock lamplet. If it goes on and off as result of typing the caps-lock key, your system doesn’t hang, but at least some portion handling screen I/O has failed. Try using CTRL_Function key to switch console. If this works, you didn’t meet a hang.
