Starting with 2.6.27.25, the default kernel can no longer be used when / is on an lvm . The message is something like ‘LVM lvm_name can not be found’
The pae-kernel can boot from lvm without any problems
Try editing “fstab”, Edit/modify LVM entries in it.
I had that problem earlier on Fedora OS. Your fstab is unstable I guess.

Hi,
my fstab did work with the earlier kernels and does still work with the pae-kernel.
What entries in fstab should be changed then?
Thanks
Oliver
