Kernel 7.2 update today destroyed graphics -- downgraded kernel

Success.

I unlocked nvidia-modprobe
Ran sudo zypper dup — rebuilt many nvidia things
did reboot
booted into kernel 7.1 , and
graphics stayed together fine @ 1920x1080. Perfectly normal
