Kernel 7.1.8-1.0.8 initrd can't find root file system

I’ve tried rebuilding with

sudo dracut -f --hostonly --hostonly-mode=strict \ /boot/initrd-7.1.8-1.0.8.sr20260802-default \ 7.1.8-1.0.8.sr20260802-default

But nothing works. The previous kernel still boots.

I did the following and it booted fine.

‘sudo zypper ref
sudo zypper in -f kernel-default
sudo dracut --force’
