I installed the last snapshot (20200401) today via zypper dup
On reboot I have the message “testing the buffer” repeated 376 times

…only thing I found:
https://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/ftpmnl/linux_562_released/
Problem with iwlwifi was solved in 5.6.2 kernel.
My server has no wifi only standard ethernet RJ45
Regards
Philippe
Thanks
This report is about a wifi interface but I think that a patch is already included in the kernel 5.6.0-1 see Re: [opensuse-factory] New Tumbleweed snapshot 20200401 released! - openSUSE Factory - openSUSE Mailing Lists
In your link the message reporting the “testing the buffer” is maybe not related to wifi?
In my case I don’t have wifi only standard ethernet RJ45

“unknown: testing the buffer” isn’t helpful. But it doesn’t hurt either.
I agree but I have the feeling that in dmesg and journalctl we have more and more “noise”:shame:

…I had a look in YaST pacakge manager and could not identify any packages with bpfilter (or related search terms). What is the status of this project in TW, what does it replace (read about firewall in the link posted above)?
Would love to learn what this is doing right now.
Nothing. It is just placeholder for future work.
Thanks
