kernel-3.16.0-2.g258e3b0-desktop no video text

Tried kernel 3.16.0-2.g258e3b0-desktop, all seems to work ok all though it
seemed to freeze for short periods, could not determine origin

video text (teletext) from tv card could not be accessed via MTT, this was the
only deficiency noted

hi,

is it correct to assume its due to lack of firmware files?

seems to be no equivalent of the following,

the reason teletext/videotext is not working is still being looked at,
can anyone join up the dots?
has teletext been finally dropped from the v4l driver?

saa7134 is the tv-card driver

a fix has been approved see

http://www.mail-archive.com/linux-media@vger.kernel.org/msg79445.html

thanks to all involved

the proposed change has been rejected with no quick fix in sight

if the vbi is needed suggest kernel-3-15 or earlier be kept
(both Kernel: 3.16.2-2.g5fca623-desktop x86_64
and Kernel: 3.15.8-2.g258e3b0-desktop x86_64
installed at present)

problem solved with Kernel: 3.17.0-rc7-1.gd2bbe7f-desktop x86_64 (64 bit) installed
