Keeping wireless alive

My system is in a fringe area on my property. Sometimes the wireless connection gets lost. How do I get it to find it and connect again when that happens?
I am not using ndiswrapper. I am using the latest MadWiFi trunk driver that works fine accept as described above.

Also, when the system goes into standby it won’t automatically connect when brought out of standby.

Thank you,

I have no idea what the closed-source part of MadWiFi does. The
mac80211-based drivers usually are able to reconnect.

Bitch to the MadWiFi people. Once you use code that “taints” your
kernel, the responsibility goes back on the tainteers code.

Thank you!
I should be emailing MadWiFi.
Maybe someone here who has had experience with these specific issues relating to these drivers could reply also.

Thank you,
