Keeping up with Mesa Stable

Hi all!

When AMD announced the OSS Radeon Driver I was enthusiastic and I bought a Radeon HD 4870 1GB!
Since then I was looking forward for every release of Mesa and since games like Anno 1404, Starcraft 2 and others work fine with the OSS driver (at least with Fedora) I am happy with my decision to give my money to AMD…

The Downside is, that it takes a long time till the new goodies arrive at the user!

Opensuse is really a very interesting distribution and Opensuse 12.1 will be comparable with Fedora 16 when it comes to features and even beats it with btrfs…

Is it possible with Opensuse Build Service to keep up with the new Mesa Packages without switching to factory?

That would be f****** great!

Greetings

Claus

P.S: Sorry, dachte ich schreib im englischen Forum

You can find mesa 7.11 here:

While 7.10 seems to be with the standard openSUSE 11.4 release. What version of mesa are you wishing to install?

Thank You,

You are welcome Claus. I think that 7.12 is slated for the start of 2012. I am sure it will be posted once it has been released. You can read more about mesa here:
