KDvi does not display eps figures

Hi!

KDvi does not display eps-figures edited by a special application (IPE - The Ipe extensible drawing editor), but it DOES display eps-figures edited by OpenOffice or vrr. Do you know why?

And by the way, can I tell Kile ALWAYS to use a certain character encoding? Unfortunately, kile does not recognize the settings of the last session, so I always have to change the character encoding before working…

No but, if you have Scribus, there is a lengthy discussion of file formats in the Help documentation which outlines some of the problems that can arise with particular versions of certain formats.

The answer may be buried in there.
