Sorry, that one was still ok, but you made the first bad choice in the next one:
Problem: libavfilter3-2.1.2-2.1.i586 requires libavutil.so.52, but this requirement cannot be provided

keep obsolete libavcodec55-2.1.2-2.1.i586

deinstallation of kaffeine-1.2.2-25.1.2.i586
deinstallation of xine-ui-0.99.8-45.10.i586
Solution 3: break libavfilter3-2.1.2-2.1.i586 by ignoring some of its dependencies
Choose from above solutions by number or skip, retry or cancel [1/2/3/s/r/c] (c): 1
Choose 2 here.
I’m not sure why it wants to uninstall kaffeine and xine-ui there (that shouldn’t happen), but you can always re-install them later on.
You have to get rid of libavfilter3 in any case.

Because I chose 2 for the last one (keep pipelight), it is now different.
Sorry for the delay, I was away from my computer for a while…
This is wrong, you should not keep that obsolete stuff.
Choose 2 to get rid of libavfilter3. I already said that you have to get rid of libavfilter3, didn’t I?
Right, sorry, I am feeling very unhelpful. Hopefully, this time is the charm.

So now 1 or 2? I never did get pipelight to work.
I would say, uninstall it for now as it doesn’t work anyway, so 1.
Although it should not matter for kdenlive and the rest of Packman’s multimedia stuff.
This is next…

Continue? [y/n/? shows all options] (y):
So is it ‘y’?
Yes, this looks good.
All dependencies have been successfully resolved, all kdenlive/mlt related packages are going to be switched to the full-codec Packman versions. Only the outdated libavfilter3 will be removed now as it should be, except for pipelight of course, but we did say to remove it as well.
If the “no sound” problem was indeed codec-related, it should work afterwards.
Thank you so much. I definitely would not have got there by myself. I installed my waiting updates and restarted my machine and the kdenlive clip has sound. I hope it doesn’t take long to work out how to use it.
Thank you for your patience.
Regards
Nappy
