Hi ,
I am on openSuse 13.1 using Kdenlive 0.9.10 from packman repos.
I am not getting the stabilize option when I right click video clip [https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manual/Projects_and_Files/Project_Tree#Project_Tree_-_Right_Click_Menu ]
Any ideas what I am missing here?
Thanks
There’s a thread about this in the KDE forums:
https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=265&t=123311
I haven’t read it yet, though, but apparently it needs to have libmlt compiled against a libvidstab now.
You might want to file a bug report at http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/ . (Packman’s packages are just links to the ones in multimedia:libs on OBS)
Yes, the updated MLT 0.9.2 should be compiled after installing vid.stab.
Only then will KDENLIVE 0.9.10 provide the stabilisation within the menu.
Earlier this week I emailed the maintainers about this new dependency which has gone unanswered… I guess a bug report needs to be logged.
Right.
But the problem is, there is no vid.stab package at all on OBS.
I might try to build one in the next days.
As the license seems to be pure GPL, it should be doable…
Earlier this week I emailed the maintainers about this new dependency which has gone unanswered…
Which maintainers?
The ones from multimedia:libs at OBS? (this is where openSUSE’s as well as Packman’s libmlt is developed)
I guess a bug report needs to be logged.
Well, actually it would be a feature request I’d say.
Although you could see the missing stabilize function as regression of course… lol!
Somebody was faster:
http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-bugs/2014-10/msg03158.html
So that stabilize option should be back soon…
FYI, I just got an update to libmlt from Packman, which also installed the new package libvidstab0_9.
The stabilize option is back now…
