kdeconnect doplphin issue

I’m using kdeconnect-kde 0.9f from the KDE:Extra repo and kdeconnect 0.9e from f-droid on android, dolphin does not browse the phone’s files, I get an error
The file or folder /home/<me>/.config/kdeconnect/d737f4fccabb69f4/kdeconnect_sftp/d737f4fccabb69f4/storage/sdcard0 does not exist.

What I am asking is, is it just me cos I remember accessing the phone’s file-system a few weeks ago, can other kdeconnect users confirm dolphin not accessing files?

I can send and receive files, I can control my openSUSE box from my phone I just can’t browse my files from dolphin?

Not working here too :-/

I’ve been browsing the net looking for an answer and it looks like it doesn’t work with plasma5 it has something to do with qt5 internals, from what I’ve read it should have been fixed, I think the workaround might be to install kdeconnect-kde4 and use konqueror as that’s still a kde4 application.

just installed kdeconnect-kde4 and I can report that it works with konqueror and qt4
…but the kdeconnect-kde4 widget does not work with plasma5 :frowning:

I filed a bug report on this with KDE about a month back

You might like to add your two cents worth to it.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=355015

I will I just need to figure out how to make an account at kde’s bugzilla

I think they fixed the bug
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=355015#c11
hopefully we’ll get a new build soon from kde:extra

as this was a simple fix upstream should I file a bug report to get the fix from the latest git or will it get automatically build?
I really don’t want to overload opensuse’s bugzilla with bugs that have been fixed upstream.
upstream released kdeconnect-kde 0.9g I guess an opensuse build will follow

Dolphin file browsing works well with kdeconnect-kde5 from this repo:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/winski/openSUSE_Leap_42.1

tanks for the info, they did fix it in git
it turned out to be a wrong command send to sshfs
that is a git build, just hoping the official kde:extra repo releases 0.9g

looks like the fix has been back ported to kdeconnect-kde 0.9f in the kde:extra repo
Installed it today and working fine now.

Yes.
And as that’s basically the only change in 0.9g, it doesn’t really make sense to update the package to 0.9g at this point either.
