I want my monitor to turn off when the computer idle. Right now it would stay on screen saver indefinately. I read that kpowersave is not moved to kde4, so I have use yast2 to edit my sysconfig. However, i can’t see an appropriate switch to change there. I am looking in system->powermanagement (nothing there seems to fit what i need, most is for laptops).
Would Kde4.1 work if i install the old version of kpowersave.
in kDE4, Personal Settings, Display, Power Management.

i am still new to linux and sometimes google searches might over complicate things (i was getting ready to manually edit sysconfig, and probably mess up something along the way).
