KDE4 - Control Center : Sound

So there is the module in KDE4 Control center called Multimedia. What is it?
I never see this in earlier releases. There is a list about 6 output device but no one works perfectly…
How to configure them? Is it possible to have sound at the same time in Amarok and Vlc, or it would be very hard?
Any suggestions?

Just check here on the forums. I am a total newbie to SUSE but, I had no sound, and now have most everything working. This through the suggestions on the forum. Just check under “No Sound” you should find the posts. I did what Oldcpu suggested and everything almost works. I say almost because I am still having video problems. My players each one of them shuts down a few seconds after starting up. However I am listening to streaming radio from Germany right now, and it is coming in loud and clear.
