Same here on 64bit. It’s some regression, exactly this was there when 4.3 was coming. Guess it will be fixed in a couple of days.

I looked too komplicated for me
using kinfocenter for now and it is showing kde 4.5 rc1
KDE 4.5 RC1 should have made its way to all the various distro repos (surprisingly, Kubuntu backports was last, and I posted a heads-up on the Ubuntu forums over the weekend). RC1 is more stable than the betas (11.2 base); however, Kwin is still sluggish (even with full hardware acceleration, which is why I have 11.2 as the base) compared to 4.4.4 (which is the stable upgrade for 11.2, and will be 11.3’s KDE default). However, even with that sluggishness, I prefer 4.5’s look and feel to 4.4.x (even 4.4.4).
