I installed the latest rc this week and have just noticed that I seem to have lost video previews in dolphin (using mplayerthumbs).
Tried ffmpegthumbnailer as an alternative but no luck there either. Is it just me!

Are you sure it’s not just that settings in Dolphin got changed?
I hadn’t checked that good point. It was switched off (in Dolphin) for video previews - which must now be the default behaviour.
Changed that to enable but still no luck. Only a minor point I suppose.
Fiddle around a little with Dolphin, the settings are mighty confusing. You will need to make sure you use ‘common view properties for all folders’
Also the ‘preview’ button on the GUI menu, use it to apply preview - and if like me you have columns you need to do it for each section.
Did you activated the checkbox from the menu “Settings > Configure Dolphin > Général > Previews > Video Files(MPlayerThumbs)” ?
Once you do it, you should activate preview from the menu “view>Preview” (or by other mean) to view your thumbnails.
ps: off course mplayerthumb must be installed

Thanks for all the posts. That is exactly how my setup is.
I think my problem must be to do with some of the multimedia applications that I have installed - as when I use firefox and right click to save a pic to my desktop about 25 options come up (mostly to do with multimedia) and it doesn’t save the picture.
Thanks again.
Discovered that my problem was being caused by firefox 3.5 for some reason. Went back to firefox 3.0.11 and dolphin video thumbs are back working fine.
