KDE4.2: How do I recover desktop panel

Whilst trying KDE4.2, the desktop panel vanished. There are now no icons on
the desktop. How do I recover the panel?

Open Dolphin/Konquerer and drag the Desktop icon onto the desktop. You can then right click on it to adjust its appearance.

Thanks, I’ll do that next time I’m in the mood for 4.2. I dunno how or why
it vanished in the first place.
