i installed kde4.1! i wanted more desktop widgets so i choosed to:
install new widgets -> download from internet
it listed two widgets : crystal monitor and another one
i installed them. but now they are not appearing in add widget list!
how can i add them to desktop?
I too have this problem. I did have the insane idea that maybe if I was looged on as root it would work but I have just checked that and it doesn’t. So I can’t help but am interested to know the answer.

At least crystal monitor isn’t a plasmoid, but a superkaramba theme. You can download the file from kde-look.org and then “install from file” instead of “Download from Internet”.
IMO it is a feature not yet implemented, or the widgets are falsely listed as installable via Internet.
