Kde4.1 Burner problem

I updated my kde on my open SUSE 11 x86 to 4.1… now my burner doesn’t work… if i put a black DVD it is not recognized if it has data it is recognized it only effect black DVD… K3b cant find the DVD nor dolphin or konquror… I haven’t tried other burning software… This problem did exist in my system from beta 2 of kde4… Thought full release will resolve the problem… any idea how to fix this…

are you using k3b for kde3 and from packman???

Yes i am. I used one click install from opensuse multimedia…

I found in the repo kde4-k3b from kde4 extras application…

I am concerned about the exta codecs for kde4-k3b(and also i didnt know about this version)… Dont know will it fix it or not as kde was not recognizing it… any other suggesion

There is no kde3 app in the repo… I will have to check it out, Will gibe k3b4.1 a try and let you know… not at home right now…

Well nero and basero can burm my dvds… i tried kde4-k3b… being in beta stage it is pretty satble but still no luck…

There is no kde3 app in the repo…

If I were you, I would install the kde3 patterns
kde3base
kde3destop

make sure you have Packman repo
and install k3b from there.

I don know about kde3 desktop package… Will check that out… Mine is kde4… with kde3 desktop will there will be instability for my kde 4.1… I belive kde3-base is installed for kde 3 app in kde4…
