Here’s the problem: I have a hyprid network (2 opensuse desktop, 2 windows xp notebooks). I managed to setup SAMBA and everything works fine. But: I cannot open any .pdf file in the network. message is : Unable to open document, The specified location is not mounted. Now, that only (!) happens with pdf’s no problem with other formats. AND NOW IT BECOMES INTERESTING: if I switch the desktop to GNOME it all works !!!
Some more information: If I try to open a pdf using KPDF/KDE3 and try to open a SMB Network Folder I get the message: Could not start process Unable to create io-slave:
