I like the standard format of KDE4 but I more used to Gnome2 and was wondering if there was a way of getting it on OpenSuse 12.1.
Do I have to install any respositories, etc???
I wouldn’t mind KDE3 as well… Frankly I don’t think that apart from regular users and followers of the KDE platform, I hardly think KDE based applications are as well known as Gnome based ones. I guess probably due to the popularity of Ubuntu, Debian and other Gnome based distros.
KDE3 is available from the openSUSE repositories.
Thanks for that. What about Gnome2… Should it be there as well???
Also how is KDE3 compared to the standard KDE4???

Gnome 2? No. There is a project, was it cinnamon?
Or use XFCE instead.

Try it. How can I say? Different. Older. Classic.

There is a Gnome 2 look and feel in the software repositories. software.opensuse.org: Search Results
