KDE with Wayland gives extreme lag

Hello! I am experiencing extreme lag in kde with Wayland, I mean to the point where moving the mouse takes a few seconds to respond. I am not having this issue in x11.
I am using the proprietary drivers for nvidia installed with the instructions provided on the openSUSE website.

Here are my specs (I will provide whatever else is needed, just let me know)
VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GM107 [GeForce GTX 745] (rev a2)
NVIDIA Driver Version: 470.199.02

Edit:
I was reading through the install instructions SDB:NVIDIA drivers - openSUSE Wiki
And one part under Troubleshooting says

KDE may not work with Wayland protocol.

So I guess theirs not something I can do about it, maybe? ^^

KDE works fine with Wayland, I use it every day. What doesn’t work for me is:
Nvidia graphics on Wayland. When I switch to Nvidia the system boots into X11 automatically. When I log into X11 and I select the AMD GPU I boot into Wayland again without choosing it automatically. No idea why that is.
