I can create new tabs (called worksheets in the terminology of the system monitor) , but I can’t delete them.
Secondly I found a website, where they mentioned options in that program, that I can not find in the OS13.1 version and even if I start that monitor as superuser … nada, zero, nothing.
Any ideas what’s going wrong ? Under which conditions are those other options available ? Do I need full moonlight and some garlic to delete an absolete tab ?
Hi, on the 32 bit system I have not changed anything in the KDE UI, with exception of the colours (folder setting/wall paper /colour) . I downloaded OS13.1, burned it on a CD and installed it. The system is used as a gateway, firewall & squid between our Fritz!Box and our internal network.
On my computer I did a similar installation, but 64 bit of course. But I changed the KDE UI with different Workspace themes, colours and font sizes. But nothing from outside the Open Suse repos. I use the stock repos + Community repos, Packman & AMD/ATI FGLRX , but nothing specific concerning KDE. In none of the repos names the string “KDE” appears.
Hm, no idea then.
What are you actually doing exactly to delete tabs?
There should be an entry “Close Worksheet” in the “File” menu. Is that not there? Does that not work?
And one thing: the page you referenced talks about the KDE3 version of ksysguard. It’s of course perfectly possible (and normal) if the KDE4 version does not offer all the (or exactly the same) functionality described there.
Could you please be more specific about what you are missing?
Ok, so this was the problem, and it works now as expected?
Hm, in the german translation it is still called “Arbeitsblatt schließen” (i.e “Close Worksheet”).
But I ran it in english now and it is indeed “Close Tab”, but it is also “New Tab” so that’s actually consistent…
