The process table no longer displays cpu-use columns. Why not?

Good to see I’m not alone! 
It would have been nice if one of the experts
around here had provided an answer but, in the interim, here’s one of my
own. I’ve looked at 11.1 beta-2, KDE4, and the cpu columns are back, so I
suppose it’s just a matter of waiting till Santa delivers the final version
of 11.1.
