KDE startmenu does not show all items

Hi all and Merry Christmas,

I had to re-install openSUSE because I had an accident with the system disc: it was totally full (99%). Nothing worked anymore, could not remove stuff, nothing. But that’s not the problem, I have it working again. I did find 1 item just now which I don’t know how to fix that.
I opened the KDE menu to start the music player Clementine and I didn’t find it in the menu, in chapter Multimedia where it should be.
I opened the KDE menu editor to add Clementine to Multimedia but found it was there already, with even some more programs which do not show up in the menu.

You can see the differences between the 2 pictures above, top one is the menu, bottom one the editor. Why don’t all programs show up in the menu, what is wrong, what do I do wrong?
Clementine was installed using the Yast softwaremanager.
Who has an idea?

Hello Bruce,
That did the trick, although I needed to restart the system. Before that the menu still looked the same.
Thank you very much for your help.

I suspect that, you didn’t do anything wrong …
Please execute the following command from a CLI:

 > kbuildsycoca5 --noincremental

This will rebuild the KService desktop file system configuration cache.

Alternatively, you can log out and then, from a VT remove the following file from the ‘~/.cache/’ directory: ‘ksycoca5_[lang]_[sha1-of-dirs]’.
Log out from the VT session and then log back into the KDE Plasma session – the ‘ksycoca5_*’ file will be rebuilt during the login execution.
