kactivity segfault in libQt5Sql.so.5.5.1 …

After upgrading from opensuse 13.2 to Tumbleweed I can not login into KDE graphical environmet, I got the upper error. I have an own compiled nvidia driver. If I delete the polkit and connected software (cca 200 pieces), I can login into a graphical environment via simple splash screen. The Xorg. log is error-free.
I got error message in log records mentioned above: kactivity segfault The other log records next to
EXIT: vnc status 0
org.ally.atspi.Registry XIO fatal IO error (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server …
The X11 connection have broke (error 1).
Did the X server die?
org.freedesktop.Tracker: — ‘Terminated’

Any help or information, please?

So what was the point of removing polkit?

It it probably a video problem. can you log into a different desktop? Try a different DM myabe kdm instead of the new sddm

Polkit: because at first I could not login in any other way and I desperately needed the graphical desktop (I had it with a grey splash screen). But now I got plasma login screen, I installed polkit, the desktops, except gnome.
(I was compile a nvidia driver before).
The login possibilities:

  • Default
  • Custom
  • IceWM
  • IceWM session
  • Kodi
  • Metacity
  • TWM
  • mythTV
  • Failsafe

The IceWM and TWM works the others don’t.

In yast /etc/sysconfig editor change the dm from ssdm to kdm (you may haave to install that)

(I was compile a nvidia driver before).

before what. The driver does not get upgraded with the rest of the OS you must reinstall

DISPLAYMANAGER=kdm
kdm installed. I am not familiar with ssdm… I was upgrading from 13.2.
I reinstalled the 352.63 nvidia driver after the upgrade, used mkinitrd command and reboot. The @libglx.so points to libglx.so.352.63.

… and reinstalled KDE and Plasma desktops are also available, but they crash as I wrote above (some mysterious things uninstall KDE and Plasma desktop… ). The other desktops are not installable.
