kde sc 4.8 beta 2 + opensuse 11.4 weird broblems

I have kde sc 4.8 beta 2 (4.7.90) with opensuse 11.4. The problems:
I can’t create new activities nor change to the predefined ones.
Background goes black after restart, if set to show a wallpaper.

Am I the only one to have these problems? I tried with new user.
