KDE repos question

on page SDB:KDE repositories - openSUSE
the repo

Upstream release aka. KR411 (KDE SC 4.11) Unstable:Extra
points to a non existant url http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Unstable:/Extra/openSUSE_12.3/
-is this a mistake?
-or is it not yet populated?
-or should it point to Index of /repositories/KDE:/Unstable:/Extra/openSUSE_12.3_KDE_Unstable_SC

thanks,

Yes, apparently. The repo layout has been changed recently, either that got in there by mistake or the repo has just not been created yet.

It is available for KDE:Release:411 though, but that has not yet finished to build.

-or should it point to Index of /repositories/KDE:/Unstable:/Extra/openSUSE_12.3_KDE_Unstable_SC

No, that one is compiled against KDE:Unstable:SC as the name implies, i.e. KDE 4.12. You would have to install KDE from KDE:Unstable:SC to use that.

Thanks - I wondered why apper hasn’t show any upgrades for the past couple of days. I’ll leave it for a couple of days and check back.

Change of repo layout is always a PITA. I’m sure it’s always announced somewhere but I usually seem to miss them until I get an error in the repos.

See here f.e.: Re: [opensuse-kde] Update KDE Repository changes
And the discussion: [opensuse-kde] Proposed changes to the KDE repositories](http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-kde/2013-10/msg00028.html)

The most important change is that KDE:UpdatedApps will be deleted and all packages from there moved to KDE:Extra.
And the “Unstable” repos have been reworked as you noticed (and OBS has yet to build all the packages), but they are not really intended for “normal” users anyway.

You might want to apply the switch on kde-extra now, since may apps have moved there. Especially if you are using the R411 repos. If you don’t have extra repo, you will want to add it.

error? on the KDE repos page for Unstable:SC for version 13.1 it has Unstable:Playground should it not be Unstable:Extra ?

Correct. Seems to have been forgotten to be changed.
