Hi! Just installed LEAP 42.2 on my Asus 5750G with Intel Graphics. There are two strange effects in KDE:
the mouse leaves a trace in some parts of Windows (not all, prefered near Buttons etc.) , which vanishs first after an ‘Invalidate’ (window-move or something similar). The mouse trace Option in the System Settings is NOT checked!
the workarea (? Arbeitsbereich) is greater than the Display. So sometimes Windows vanish completely from the Screen.
Are you saying that the resolution is pushed beyond the resolution of the screen. i.e. the resolution is 1600x1080 when the screen resolution is actually only 1280x800? If so, if you match the resolution the be the same as the screen, do these issues go away. Also, are you running this in a VM or directly on the computer?
Thx js. Its directly on the laptop, no VM. But I could resolve that screen issue. In system-settings under ‘Display’ a second screen was shown which actually does not exist. So the workarea was splitted between the laptop screen and the nonexisting screen. Deactivating this screen in system settings solved it.
However i still have the mouse trace on some windows. This is ab bit annoying and yet i found no way to get rid of it.

UUPS, deactivating the second nonexisting screen in system settings (wonder how it came there) also resolved the mouse issue. No more kde problems at the moment. Thanks.
