KDE login on external screen

Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3511 with a current Tumbleweed and Wayland. I have an external monitor that is my primary.
At startup, both monitors show the KDE login screen, but if I enter my password in the external (primary) monitor, the dots are just inverted (as if selected) and nothing else happens.
If I click to focus on the internal monitor, I can log in there normally.
When locking and unlocking the screen, both monitors accept my password.
Once logged in, I tried to look in the journalctl, but could not recognize anything suspicious.
Can someone tell what is happening? Is this a known issue?
Thank you.

Quick test.
At login screen, select “Plasma X11” vs “Plasma Wayland”.

Any difference??

When the login screen initially appears, is your username prefilled? If yes, what happens on the two screens if you don’t click anywhere, and simply type your password and ?

Thanks for the answers.
My username is prefilled, and if I do not click then the password goes into the primary screen’s form. Then if I press Enter or the > button, the icons and my name is grayed and nothing else happens.
There is no difference if I select X11 or Wayland or even Icewm.
If I focus on the builtin screen, it works as expected.
If I remember well, earlier (some weeks or months ago) the password went into both screens at the same time.

Inexplicable behavior such as this is just one of several reasons why I have purged SDDM from most of my KDE-Plasma installations. I don’t even use it on Neon installations. TDM and KDM3 are what I mostly use, with LightDM and pure XDM on a few others. Since I never use Wayland, I don’t know whether all are able to lauch Wayland sessions, but I suspect at least LightDM must.

I’m experiencing the same behavior. If you bother to search for a bugreport and – if none is to be found – file yourself one, this bug probably will be gone in a few weeks.

I don’t care about cry babies who never use wayland and “purge” software for “inexplicable behavior”. Hey, wayland works great, KDE Plasma 6 as well and if here and there is a glitch, well, file a bug report or live with it and have fun!

Thank you very much. The bugzilla link is exactly the one.
