KDE desktop , and task bar stop working

Dear All
am using openSuse for approximately a month now , and must say rarely i face problems with it.
but that’s not the case with desktop and all the widgets , and gadgets , task bar on it , sometime it just stuck for no reason , i can still use any program that is already open in the back ground by using alt+tab to switch between them , but unable to click or use anything on the desktop it self , this can be happen for sometime a minute or two , other times must restart the pc (or log out which may not work always in such a case) and it come back to work
am using opensuse 13.1 64 Bit KDE

Welcome new user.

I best guess is the slow down is associated with Nepomuk doing it’s
indexing. Nepomuk is a search program used in KDE.

I will use nepomuk cleaner and see if it will work.

You can turn it off in Configure Desktop

I have noticed a similar problem when I’m trying to add a widget to the taskbar and I usually have to resort to logging back into the desktop. I’m also 64bit but Tumbleweed. It only seems to happen when I’m doing the above which is why I haven’t brought it up before but it is irritating.
