I am using a KDE live CD of RC1. Can someone with RC1 (KDE) fully installed verify if there is an activity listed in the activity manager besides the two defaults (“Desktop” and “Desktop Icons”) which does not show a name and cannot be viewed or deleted? Not sure if this bug might be applicable to Live CD only or in general.

It seems to be a general problem. I have 3 of them labeled “New Activity” that
cannot be canceled. I don’t see a separate process for them.
It comes with the defined KDE4 session.
I deleted $HOME/.kde4 and started over.
I had three activities (“Desktop”, “Desktop Icons” and “New Activity”). I deleted “New Activity” (click on the small square box to disable, and then a delete option shows up).
Then there is a Live CD specific issue here. The third activity shown here does not have any name and cannot be deleted (you click remove and nothing happens). I’ll open a bug.
If you install from the live CD, then you won’t get the live user, so you shouldn’t have the problem. As far as I know, a new user setup should be created the same way, whether installed from the live CD or from the DVD.
