KDE 6.2 go to beta repo and after release change to stable?

I’m new to openSUSE and pretty new to Linux as well.

I want to go with KDE 6.2 beta, to help testing it. But after the 6.2 is released to stay with the 6.2 branch. As I have understood in zypper you can set the priority of a repo, so is it possible to change to Builds from git master on Tumbleweed (SDB:KDE repositories - openSUSE Wiki) and then change the priority to normal repos, after 6.2 is released? Or just change to 6.2 branch repos with beta versions?

Tnx!

PS The onboarding with the bot is just awful… Have to spend 10 minutes to play a silly “game”.

It only applies to the new packages. You need to explicitly “switch vendor” for packages that are already installed.

zypper dup --from KDE-beta-repository

may work.

sudo zypper dup --from YourRepo --allow-vendor-change

Or you can change vendor stickiness.

But there is no such repo at the moment? Am I right?

It depends of what you’ve done or not done…

At the moment I’m on normal Tumbleweed.

If you want to get KDE 6.2 you need repo for that?

I have no idea. Your question was how to start using this repository. I assumed you knew that it existed.

Try to use KDE Argon/Krypton:

On live image I cannot work and test as my it would my daily driver…

Use the iso to install, it will already have the newer repos set up.
