After completing Tumbleweed KDE testing during the week it has been decided that KDE 4.9.3 is ready to be added to the Tumbleweed repository.
The Tumbleweed repository is being rebuilt over the weekend.
And, if all goes well we should see it uploaded and available for download some time next week.

The x86-64 build is finished, and it’s all there right now.
i386 is still waiting for libreoffice to finish building, so that might
take another day or so.
Note, you all had better not be mixing tumbleweed with any other KDE repo
anymore, otherwise unknown things will happen, and you are on your own.
Came across one small problem so far. When I am using konqueror and right click to save a file to my computer (for example d/l a RPM) the save file dialog comes up with root folder / as the default location to save the file to. Not that you would want to save the file there and which will not work anyway as being logged on as a user the permissions are wrong. Checking my user kde default paths shows (as would be expected) /home/xxxxx/Documents.
I lost the OpenSuSE branded KDM login screen and the OpenSuSE lizzard icon in the lower left corner of K Desktop Environment 4.9.3. How do I get them back?
The Opensuse KDM login is in SystemSettings>LoginScreen>Theme. And if you right click the Kickoff Application Laucher you can choose any icon you want including the opensuse lizzard.
I am having a problem with regard to the login theme manager. I downloaded several new KDM login themes from opendesktop.org and I don’t see any of the new ones listed in the available choices. When I do select one of the three default choices and I log out, I don’t see my chosen login theme at all.
In my case, I installed openSUSE Elegant. Read the following:
| kdm-SuSE-Elegant - KDM Theme login screen
|
|
KDM Theme login screen
Installation ------------ Open yast and go to systems >> /etc/sysconfig configuring tool >> desktop >> display manager >> displaymanager_kdm_theme In the box on the right change to suse-elegant
Hi! I update to 4.9 without any problem, but I noticed that this version of KDE is slightly different from the one described in the official KDE press release. Look at the dolphin screenshot in this page:
(At least for me,) the places panel is completely different: no labels, no sections etc. Also I don’t have an “activities” item in my context menu when right-clicking on a directory, for instance.
Is it possible to configure dolphin so that it is more similar to this screenshot?
