On openSUSE 11.1 with only KDE 3.5 installed, is it possible to add KDE 4.3 by using the 1-click install at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Factory:/Desktop/openSUSE_11.1/KDE4-DEFAULT.ymp ?
I have not installed KDE 4.1.3 that comes with openSUSE 11.1 DVD, but have installed GNOME + KDE 3.5.
It’s not the way I would do it and IMO having kde3, gnome and kde4 installed all together is not my idea of a harmonious arrangement.

But it’s getting tricky with all the package name changes.
A good option is to install kde4.3 with this:

Can the Live CD be used to install KDE 4.3 on a working openSUSE 11.1 installation* (already has GNOME & KDE 3.5)* ? I do not want to do a fresh openSUSE installation.

The link given is for fresh installation, that is kde4.3 build with openSUSE11.1 which is from kde.org.
I am not sure, you can install just kde4.3 from a live install or CD on a existing system, but if you search kde forum or kde website, may be they might have some ideas, that how to do it.
OR may be some one in this forum could guide.
I would follow my HowTo then. Read it carefully and in particular take note of the repo priorities.
If you come up against a wall - save the dependency error to file with the expert button. And post here
