KDE 4.3.95 crashes [ urgent attention please ]

Hello everyone,

I just upgraded my KDE 4.3.3 to 4.3.95 from KDE4:STABLE repos ].
when i login to my system the plasma workspace crashes immediately. i tried with root and it crashed again. it complains about some “org.freedesktop.DBUS” thing.

What should i do? at this point i cannot do anything with the computer!!!

Best,

– A.

Try login through the text console and see if you can delete the files displayed from the output of the following command:

find .kde4 -name *plasma*

done, but no use. this is what i have from crash handler:

use your archived backup to rebuild the working system you had just
prior to your failed experiment with 4.3.95…

but, first make sure it is reproducible and file a bug report–but
does it go here: http://en.opensuse.org/Submitting_Bug_Reports

or is a special place to report bugs in “KDE4:STABLE” (because
everyone paying attention knows it is neither stable, dependable nor
ready for daily use on needed machines)

it is a very good thing you are testing the bleeding edge of 4.3.95 on
your secondary/sandbox computer…huh?

someone DID warn you to backup and not expose real data nor a
‘production’ machine to such testing…didn’t they?

I’d like to see your repo list

That sounds like a personal question. :open_mouth:

I’m not ready to subject even my test machine to 4.4 RC2 after what I’ve been reading!
