There is another thread dedicated to this problem.

Try to remove all plasmoids from your desktop and remove configurations
files:

Code:

/home/<username>/.kde4/share/config/plasmarc
/home/<username>/.kde4/share/config/plasma-appletsrc

Hi,

I’m using openSUSE 10.3.
I have installed KDE3 (3.5.10) and KDE4 (4.1.3).
I’m trying to upgrade my KDE4 to 4.2 version by using the smart tool.
But I have following problems:
error: file /usr/share/man/ru/man1/kalzium.1.gz from install of
kde4-l10n-ru-4.2.0-14.6 conflicts with file from package

How I can fix it? Or please tell me mailing list or other place where I
can submit this bug.

Thanks!

Sadly ZYpp ignores these problems forcing the installation even if that
means to overwrite files from other packages.

You can report it in bugzilla or opensuse-kde ML, but I don’t think it
will be ever fixed. It’s a minor problem and KDE3 is going to be dropped
anyway.

A “smart config --set rpm-force=True” should “fix” your problem.

There files are located under your users directory. You dont need to
use the su command, just simple:

Code:

rm /home/<username>/.kde4/share/config/plasmarc
rm /home/<username>/.kde4/share/config/plasma-appletsrc

Do not forget to replace the <username> with your real username.

Thanks! I didn’t know about this behavior of ZYpp.

Yes, I do that, but not helping. Try more plasmoids jum up all
plasmoid-list and they do nothing.

But not understand why it jum up only my 32-bit-pc not my other
64-bit-pc. It works well

Sorry, I thought it was fixed.
