kde 4.2 - ppracer & frozen bubble

Using 11.1 64 bit p/c with a nvida card and the most recent nvidia driver.

Until recently I have not used kde 4 much but have started to use it more and more now (from kde 3.5). I have updated to kde 4.2 and this looks and works much better than 4.1 I think.

When I play frozen bubble or ppracer using 3.5 they work fine but trying to play either using kde 4 just gives me a blank screen. Have both kde 3.5 and 4.2 installed on my p/c.

Have I missed something?

Only the mouse cursor is still visible? Try Alt+Shift+F12 to disable the KDE desktop effects and see if this brings back the desktop.
