Well, one problem really. I’ve been using the factory repo to keep KDE 4 up-to-date almost since I installed OpenSuse 11 with no problems, but for a few days I’ve received this:
“nothing provides kdebase4-runtime >= 4.1.1 needed by kde4-amarok-1.90-3.11.i586”
when trying to update kde4 components. Anyone else get the same thing or is it just my system?
What I’ve had to do (again this morning) to fix it, is to disable
the community repo, then refresh and update, then try to re-enable
the community repo.
[Something between community and factory becomes incompatible.
In the past, I’ve had to remove stuff from community (e.g. plasmoids)
and re-install them later.]
Some oversight: Factory:/Extra-Apps should have been disabled from publication at same time than Factory:/Desktop. This error will be gone with the KDE 4.1.1 release on Wednesday.
Hi,
Could you point us towards a page that lists(post Wednesday)which groups of Repositories should be enabled to remain “in-step”, as like others in this thread I too have been stumped as were to find this key piece of code.
There is a kdebase4-runtime = 4.1.63 in the factory unstable repros; however, it breaks far more packages than it fixes ATM. My recommendation is to wait until it’s ready. Won’t be too long I would bet;)
