Using openSUSE 12.1 (i586) with KDE: 4.7.2 (4.7.2) “release 5” I wanted a GUI for cron so used Yast to install kcron. The installation seemed to be OK but now I cannot find the executable anywhere.
I had previously had this working on my 86_64 machine but it seems to be broken there too.
Please could somebody explain what I have installed and where it has gone!

Do an Alt-F2 and enter: /usr/share/kde4/services/kcm_cron.desktop
Thank You,
Hi and many thanks for the prompt. I have no idea how kcron became kcm_cron.desktop or how I would be expected to know this when kcron used to bring up a neat gui of its own, but your suggestion brought up what is now known as the Task Manager.
What my investigation has revealed is that System Settings options, when operating system is first installed, do not include the Task Scheduler.
Using Yast to install kcron no longer installs the old kcron but does install it as the Task Scheduler which then appears as an option in System Settings>System Administration.
Seems to work OK but why I needed this change I have no idea.
Thanks again for the help.

I was very happy to help and learn a bit more myself.
Thank You,
