I’ve already went thorough “Check your multimedia problem in ten steps” and “Multi-media and Restricted Format Installation Guide”, but still no luck. When I try to play video Kaffeine just throw out big red cross and then nothing palys.

Hei,
How are your repositories, have you enabled both Packman and VLC?
Perhaps also try to play various formats with Kaffeine, if you haven’t done so already of course.
How is Mplayer performing, by the way? I see it’s installed.

Thank you. After I’ve tried to play in Kaffeine almost each of my files, it turns out, that it can play couple of them, but for most cases it didn’t work, even if format almos the same. For example, this one didn’t play:
file /mnt/TEMP/1111.avi
/mnt/TEMP/1111.avi: RIFF (little-endian) data, AVI, 720 x 304, 24.00 fps, video: XviD, audio: Dolby AC3 (6 channels, 48000 Hz)
And this one plays just fine:
file /mnt/TEMP/2222.avi
/mnt/TEMP/2222.avi: RIFF (little-endian) data, AVI, 704 x 288, 25.00 fps, video: XviD, audio: Dolby AC3 (6 channels, 48000 Hz)

Do you think you might have one too many repos?
Remove any repo called Videolan or libdvdcss
Remove kde playground

Both VLC repository and redundant libdvdcss are disabled, but of course I can remove them.

Thanks a lot! That had the problem solved.
Great - Keep this important aspect in mind.
When I try to launch Kaffeine, it shows a window in the task bar, its memory usage gradually climbs to 800_MB and nothing else happens. Then it just quits.
