I have used Video 4 Linux to access broadcast TV for decades. One name has been proment: a certain Mauro Carvalho Chehab.

Kaffeine remains my favourite broadcast TV client. For some time it struggled with Wayland (VLC worked OK). Now openSUSE provides version 2.0.18 and it works.

I as a confirmed GNU/Linux general user, I acknowledge my debt to all opensource engineers.
