When running Kontact, everything works - email, calendar, to-do list - except Contacts. When attempting to open the Contacts tab, the Kontact application crashes instantly with error, “Dr Konqi Kontact Closed Unexpectedly”
KAddressBook can be run independently of Kontact, but it is extreamely fragile. Just changing the window size with the mouse will quickly cause it to crash.
Some errors that appear in logs include:
“kaddressbook[4035] terminate called after throwing an instance of Akonadi::PayloadException”
"kaddressbook[4035] what(): Akonadi::PayloadException: Wrong payload type (requested: sp(0)<KContacts::Addresseee); present: sp(2)<KMime::Message*>)
