K3b won't copy encrypted DVD's

I used to be able to make back-up copies of my DVD movies. (using K3b)

I did it last just a few days ago, now it wont work. It tells me “failed to retrieve CSS keys”

I jumped the gun and installed another (Debian Based OS) and got the same results, now I re-installed OpenSuSE 11.1 and still have the same issue. Is something wrong with the CSS sources?

Is there something I can do to fix this?

Panasonic Toughbook CF-52

running: Linux 2.6.27.29-0.1-default x86_64
System: openSUSE 11.1 (x86_64)
KDE: 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3) “release 4.10.4”

      Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7100 @ 1.80GHz
      Speed: 800.00 MHz
      Cores: 2

      Tungsten Graphics, Inc
      Model: Mesa DRI Intel(R) 965GM 20080716
      Driver: 1.4 Mesa 7.2

      Total memory (RAM): 3.9 GB
Free memory: 2.4 GB (+ 840.3 MB Caches)
      Free swap: 3.0 GB

libdvdcss is installed? Also use the k3b version from the Packman repo, the one which comes with openSUSE may be crippled due to legal reasons.

Thank you so much for your answer!

Kaffeine works GREAT!!! Plays all my DVD’s just great.

K3B will copy all other DVD’s if I want, but WILL NOT copy this one DVD because it can’t find the css keys.

Oh well!!! That is the way the cookie crumbles.

Once again; Thanks for your promt reply.

Use k9copy and you should be good.

Maybe there’s a different/additional copy protection.
What Carl said, k9copy works fine.
